Wild Planet Safaris proudly presents the 10 Days Karamoja Cultural Tour & Wildlife Safari, an extraordinary journey into Uganda’s remote northeast and iconic savannah parks. This carefully curated expedition combines dramatic landscapes, rare wildlife encounters, powerful waterfalls, and immersive cultural experiences with some of Africa’s most fascinating indigenous communities.
This safari takes you to:
Along the way, Wild Planet Safaris introduces you to the Karamojong cultural groups, including the IK, Dodoth, Jie, and other nomadic pastoralist communities. You will explore Uganda’s most untouched wilderness areas while gaining firsthand insight into traditional lifestyles that have endured for generations.
The best time to visit the Karamoja region falls within the dry months of January, February, March, and December, when roads remain more accessible and wildlife viewing conditions improve. However, Wild Planet Safaris also operates this safari during the wet months of April and May for travelers seeking greener landscapes and fewer crowds.
Your adventure begins and ends in Kampala or Entebbe.
Wild Planet Safaris will assign your professional safari guide to meet you in Kampala or Entebbe for a briefing before departure. You will then embark on a scenic drive east toward Kapchorwa District.
Upon arrival at Sipi Falls, located on the foothills of Mount Elgon, you will witness three spectacular waterfalls. The highest waterfall drops approximately 100 meters, followed by two additional cascades of 80 meters and 70 meters.
Wild Planet Safaris will check you into your selected lodge, where you can relax and enjoy panoramic views of rolling hills and coffee plantations.
